Web Submission Tutorial

Design of submission.

In this design,  an index is used as the main navigational method for reviewing the submission.

Clicking on a particular item from the Compliance Certification Document takes you to the support page for that item.

When you enter a support page, you will notice it is divided into four areas of information:

  1. Requirements/standards/mandates
  2. Judgment of the extent of compliance
  3. Narrative/justification for judgment of the extent of compliance

Note that this section contains the narrative supporting the judgment, supporting documentation (links) in parentheses and the title of the documentation.  URL addresses are not listed in the narrative. Links presented in the "narrative" take you directly to the information supporting the judgment regarding the extent of compliance.  It only contains information relating to that requirement.  These links when selected will open local pages in new windows.

  4. Supporting Documentation contains a table with a cross reference between the title of the documentation and the URLs for the information presented in the narrative.  These links either point directly to the support information or take you to the document from which the information was taken.  If the link is to a document or site that  is not to the information supporting the justification, then instructions to the specific information are included in the second column.

Whenever possible, the links will be to other HTML sites.  Any link that is not an HTML will have an icon designating the type of file.  Larger documents are included as Adobe Acrobat.

When in a HTML file, you can copy the information by highlighting the information and then clicking on Edit and then Copy (Ctrl + C) and then return to your application and pasting the information by the paste method.

When in an Adobe PDF file, to copy information you click on the Text Select Tool (icon with Capital T with a dashed box), highlight the information and press the Ctrl + C key sequence, then return to your application and utilize the paste method.
