The accreditation of an institution by the Commission on Colleges includes all of its branch campuses, additional off-site programs, and distance learning programs as reported to the Commission. Accreditation, specific to an institution, is based on conditions existing at the time of the most recent evaluation and is not transferable.

CHEA Institutional Database  The database lists approximately 6,500 institutions that are accredited by participating or recognized organizations of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or are recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE).  Each accrediting organization's list of institutions is prefaced by a brief description of the accredited status of the institutions on the list and the year for which the list is accurate.
