Reaffirmation On-Site Committee Resources - Committee Information and Forms

The On-Site Committee reviews a single institution.  It conducts a site visit to the institution usually lasting three days.  The purpose of the committee is to be of value to the institution and to the Commission.  The On-Site Committee does not accredit the institution.  It evaluates the institution’s compliance with standards cited by the Off-Site Committee as well as the acceptability of the institution’s QEP.  It also evaluates the institution’s continuing compliance with a number of accreditation standards identified by the U.S. Department of Education.  Finally, if the institution delivers instruction at other sites, or if the institution has recently undergone some type of substantive change (other than offering degrees at a higher level), then those issues are also reviewed by the On-Site Committee.  The Committee provides a written analysis of its findings, including any formal Recommendations of non-compliance with specific accreditation standards.  The report of the committee is forwarded to the institution for its response, and is also forwarded to the Compliance and Reports Committee of the Commission on Colleges for its review
